5 Amazing Peanut Butter Filled Desserts
My family adores peanut butter. They will sit and eat it covered in chocolate chips out of a bowl instead of ice cream. I am always on the lookout for amazing peanut butter dessert recipes to fill their every desire. Here are five of our favorites.
Decadent Peanut Butter Pie
My husband made this pie for me on our first Valentine’s Day. It is a pretty simple no bake recipe that we originally found on the packaging of a JIF peanut butter jar. Simple does not mean lack of flavor. It is creamy and delicious. Click here for the full recipe.
No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars
One of our favorite restaurants sells giant peanut butter bars. We order one and split it 5 ways. One night we were craving our favorite treat, but going out was not an option. I found this recipe and all our problems were solved. They are simple to put together and take about an hour to chill and set, so it is not a huge time commitment. I use dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet just because we love dark chocolate. Click here to try this recipe.
Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
My only complaint about peanut butter cookies is they are usually crunchy and I prefer a chewy, soft cookie. This recipe was an answer to my cookie prayers. I love them and so did the rest of my crew. When looking over the recipe, I excluded the light corn syrup because I was all out. I did not notice any need for it and will leave it out every time. Nutter Butter Cheesecake Recipe
Every year for my husband’s birthday I make him a new cheesecake recipe. I’ve done this four years in a row now. He loves cheesecake, so much so that we had it instead of cake at our wedding. Nutter Butter Cheesecake was a throwback to our wedding. I always make cheesecakes a day or two ahead and giving them extra time to set in the refrigerator before I remove the sides of the spring form pan. I have good luck using this method. Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake With A Nutter Butter Crust
I love this cheesecake, but I will warn you it is very rich. It did require a few changes for my crew. I used closer to two cups of chopped peanut butter cups and mixed them throughout the filling instead of having a layer in the middle. No one in my family likes nuts, so I skipped the peanuts as a garnish on top. I also use half as much chocolate ganache. The whole amount makes it a little too rich for my taste. Of all the cheesecakes I’ve made this is definitely my favorite. Click here for the full recipe.
