Whisk dry ingredients (flour through brown sugar) together in a large bowl.
Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Whisk together until well combined.
Add pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice and whisk to combine.
Let stand for 10 minutes so batter can rest.
Add chocolate chips stir to combine.
Heat electric griddle to 350°.
Coat surface of griddle with butter or oil.
Pour ⅓-½ cup batter onto griddle. Repeat 3-5 times depending on the size of your griddle.
Flip pancakes when bubbles begin to form.
Continue to cook until golden brown.
Serve with butter and syrup.
