Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Combining the delicious flavor of pumpkin pie, chocolate, and pancakes. It is hard to tell if it is breakfast or dessert.

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 15 oz can pumpkin puree
  • 2 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


  • Whisk dry ingredients (flour through brown sugar) together in a large bowl.
  • Add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla. Whisk together until well combined.
  • Add pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice and whisk to combine.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes so batter can rest.
  • Add chocolate chips stir to combine.
  • Heat electric griddle to 350°.
  • Coat surface of griddle with butter or oil.
  • Pour ⅓-½ cup batter onto griddle. Repeat 3-5 times depending on the size of your griddle.
  • Flip pancakes when bubbles begin to form.
  • Continue to cook until golden brown.
  • Serve with butter and syrup.
