Prepare Butter Cake in two 9 inch rounds.
Prepare vanilla pudding according to package instructions.
Slice strawberries lengthwise.
Place toothpicks around the outside of one cake round as a guide for cutting the cake in half. Using a long, sharp knife slice slowly cutting the round in half. Repeat with second cake round.
Place one half of a cake round on your cake stand or plate.
Spread layer of vanilla pudding over the round.
Arrange strawberry slices on top of pudding.
Place second half of cake round on top of strawberries.
Cover top of cake round with whip cream frosting.
Place half of second cake round on top of whip cream frosting.
Repeat steps 6, 7, and 8 with second half of cake round.
Frost tops and sides of cake with whip cream frosting.
Arrange sliced strawberries on top of cake as decoration.
